Math Master offers a huge number of skills options in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percents, estimating, time, geometrics and others. All input is done by clicking the mouse to choose the answer using number buttons 0-9 (see visuals below). Parents report that this method greatly increases the speed with which their children achieve mastery of math fact sets. This also increases the speed with which the student can complete items since no keyboard is needed and the students need not look away from the screen for each problem. A "SEE" function is built in to allow the student to see the answer to questions that are too difficult - this is important because it is critical that the student not leave an activity that may be just a bit above the current skill level - this is where the real learning occurs. The student can see the answer and move on to try others rather than quitting the activity (note: to give an accurate score, only those activities completed without using SEE are recorded for permanent recordkeeping while the others can be used for practice).

The visuals below are just 2 of the many, many options that are offered - the first is addition with a fill-in the missing answer problem - the student would click the 3 button to complete the answer in this case. There are 20 items per activity and they are always different since random generation is used. Therefore, the student may select the same activity and level over and over until mastered. Workbooks do not allow this and must be purchased each year.

Notice that in this example below, the student is working on large number subtraction and has completed the problem - the borrowed numbers are displayed to show how the problem would be completed on paper as well. Again, the student has had to input the answer by clicking the number buttons 0-9. The borrow button (not shown in the cutout of the larger page), is used when the student recognizes the need to borrow in order to subtract).

Math Master

Math Master has hundreds of options like these for practicing skills and concepts, from the easiest to the hardest - addition allows 1 + 1 = ? all the way up to problems with addition of 4 numbers of 4 digits each. Fill-ins, large number work, negatives and many more are included so that all skills are covered.
