Softbasics is a teacher owned and operated company. We have been providing free and very low cost software to homeschoolers, parents, and teachers for over 10 years. As teachers, we realize the critical role that parents play in assisting their children in achieving true mastery. So many children, especially at the crucial elementary level, fail to receive the help needed to master the basics and this negatively impacts them for the rest of their schooling.

This software is NOT edutainment. There are 1000's of programs that people can find that offer highly graphical environments with limited educational value. These programs often capture early interest but quickly fade after a few weeks of use. We have chosen to design useful, on task programs that target specific areas of need and to make them available to all parents at the lowest cost possible. Children have responded very well to these programs and parents have reported good use over a range of years as their children progress to true mastery.
